Event Overview & Challenge
Clune Construction hosted their Annual ONE Meeting as the first corporate event at the Salt Shed. Being a Chicago-based general contracting firm with employees across the country, the company decided for their first year they’d like to bring the rich Chicago culture to the event for all to embrace and experience as part of the company’s roots.
- The main task was to orchestrate a seamless transition of the venue from a structured company meeting environment to a lively celebration space within the “Chicago Neighborhoods” we created.
- The initial phase of the event focused on creating an intimate and introspective atmosphere.
- We wanted to finish the event with a vibrant celebration that captures the essence of the firm’s dynamic culture.
The Solution
- A smaller stage was placed closer to the audience, enhancing the sense of connection and engagement during the meeting. This setup allowed for a more focused and personal interaction among attendees, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose.
- After the meeting, we had 45 minutes to turn over the same space to transform it into an energetic Chicago-themed celebration!
- Four elaborate themed buffet stations were set up, each offering a unique culinary experience that tantalized the taste buds and added an element of discovery to the event.
- Guests transitioned from the jazzy cocktail reception back to the main space by the famous Chicago Bucket Boys, where they accompanied the Jesse White Tumblers as they swirled into the air. Oversized canvases of neighborhood street art, accompanied by dynamic accent decor, were designed for each food station. For the rest of the night, guests danced the night away with a performance by 16 Candles.
- With no detail left behind, Rainbow Cone arrived for dessert, and our Garrett’s Popcorn character handed branded popcorn as their departing gift.
